The Reducer and Motor Reducer Factory is a leading manufacturer of general-purpose reducers and motor reducers. The factory, which has been in existence for more than 140 years, has 90 years of experience in the manufacture of drive components.
In the course of its many years of activity, BEFARED has developed the production of standardised series of reducers with such a degree of standardisation, typification and unification that a large number of their applications with a small number of different parts and assemblies can be carried out using semi-automatic team machine tools and machining lines, i.e. with technology as in mass production conditions.

/ BEFARED offers the following modern series of types “H”, NR, NF, EM reducers and motor reducers
and universal gearboxes. In addition to catalogue versions, we manufacture all kinds of special gearboxes and devices according to documentation developed by our own design and technology department and on the basis of customer documentation. BEFARED has delivered its products in a total volume of around 1.5 million units to more than 5000 customers at home and abroad.
Our offer is very broad and includes, among other things:
- helical, bevel and bevel-gear gearboxes,
- special gearboxes for mining, metallurgy, power generation, sewage treatment plants, etc,
- helical, helical-conical, helical-worm and worm motor reducers,
- combination motor reducers with an extended speed range,
- special reducers and motor reducers,
- power units,
- special planetary, conical-planetary and helical-planetary gearboxes,
- flexible and toothed couplings,
- spare parts for all manufactured products of our own and according to customer documentation.
The drives on offer operate in the power range from 0.12kW to 5MW.
In addition, we offer:
- full guarantee and post-guarantee service,
- overhaul of drives from our own and other manufacturers,
- the possibility of manufacturing special products according to documentation developed in-house or on the basis of customer documentation,
- technical advice and drive expertise.
